RQ Construction, LLC is hiring: Electrician in Pensacola

Overview

RQC, LLC is a design-build contractor with a national and international presence, specializing in fast-track new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Pensacola, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
• Apply electrical principles using appropriate equipment and follow required safety practices in support of RQC's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Per diem may be eligible for qualified candidates not local to the Pensacola region.

Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education. Should be supplemented by completion of a union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.
• Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
• Start-up and energizing procedures of equipment.
• Fire alarm system/Security system installation.
• Valid electrician's license or journeyman card is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred: Trenching and shoring, Fall protection, Confined space, Forklift/Manlift, Power actuated tools, Lockout/Tagout, EM-385.
• Experience with Medium Voltage Duct Bank and Underground Utility works.
• Ability to provide the necessary tools including knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, key hole saw, hacksaw, hammer, small level, channel locks, needle nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt, diagonal pliers, wrenches, taps, wire strippers, tape measure, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, etc.
