CEMEX is hiring: Electrician in Rialto

An electrician performs all types of electrical jobs throughout assigned locations or regions. Electrical jobs include maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery used in production and manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial / mining equipment
2. Install, adjust, and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges, and instruments
3. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and coordinate electrical needs, repairs, and modifications
4. Ensure that manufacturers' standards of repair and maintenance are performed on all equipment
5. Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
6. Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times
7. Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
8. Meet or exceed company safety standards
9. Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

1. 5 years electrical maintenance experience
2. 3 years experience in aggregate, cement, or heavy industrial operations (preferred)
3. Power distribution experience or understanding up to 4,160 volts
4. Programmable logic control and digital drive experience
5. High school graduate
6. Associate's degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance (preferred)
7. Ability to read, write, and speak English

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Computer literate with ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes; SAP experience is a plus
2. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to understand technical manuals, reports, and instructions in English
5. Ability to develop, read, and use mechanical, electrical, and structural sketches, blueprints, and drawings
6. Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude

Working Conditions

1. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments
2. Must wear protective equipment on site
3. Experience with motor control circuits and relay logic troubleshooting
4. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to perform walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and control pulling
2. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds constantly
3. Frequent communication via talking and hearing to coordinate safely around equipment
4. Ability to perform all job functions related to physical exertion and mobility
