Job Description
We are looking for a Full Time, hourly Electrician Engineer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all electrical codes are followed for the State of Nevada.
- Ensure that once a year electrical panels have preventive maintenance done on them, including cleaning, checking for hotspots, maintaining the panel schedule, and testing shunt switches, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, and elevator shunt switches with the Clark County Fire Department or Building Department.
- Ensure all emergency lighting is tested and in working order per the fire prevention code and local building codes.
- Check for outages or repairs for interior and exterior lights, including building lights, light poles, signs, landscape ground lights, stairwells, offices, hotel rooms, and all public areas and equipment.
- Work towards being energy efficient.
- Follow OSHA requirements for safety when working alone or around other employees and guests in public areas.
- Maintain inspections, drawings, and documentation for the annual facilities permit from the building department.
- Use proper safety equipment when working with, in, or around electrical systems and tools.
- Maintain good stocks of electrical parts on hand for timely project completion or necessary repairs.
- Run the emergency generator once a month for 15 minutes to ensure it is in proper working order; perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a journeyman or master electrician's card.
- Clean up the work area after completing tasks.
- Maintain MSDS sheets for any liquids, chemicals, or powders used in the electrical department.
- Analyze repairs or projects to minimize loss of efficiency by taking all necessary parts or tools at the same time, ensuring tools are returned to their rightful place.
- Follow the Tuscany Hotel and Casino employee handbook in its entirety.
- Be prepared to perform other job duties assigned by management.
- Write a purchase order for every part or supply needed after obtaining approval from the Director of Facilities.
- Follow the daily or weekly checklist in its entirety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Good communication skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a hotel. Must be able to work any shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels.
