Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work in control cabinets and panel boards, wiring/rewiring electrical cabinets and components, running conduit, and programming/installing PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Install electrical hardware or software and wiring of devices in accordance with state and local codes.
• Conduct electrical start-ups of new, used, or modified equipment and generate or modify operating instructions related to electrical items.
• Aid in layout design and troubleshooting of electrical components.
• Calibrate electrical components as needed. Program and install PLCs and draw ladder logic diagrams to match such programs.
• Maintain a clean work area; store wire, conduit, raceways, and related materials in a safe, organized manner.
• Manage company-issued tools (e.g., benders, punches, labeler, drills) and ensure they are cleaned and stored after use.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Ladder Logic and programming experience with PLCs.
• Prior electrical background required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman's license preferred.
• Good working knowledge of PLCs and programming.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.
