The Millport, AL lumber manufacturing facility is seeking skilled Industrial Electricians with comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes, and techniques to repair, modify, install, and maintain the facility and high-tech lumber manufacturing equipment.

We are offering a $3,000 hiring bonus!

This role offers an hourly wage up to $43.00, with a $3.00 per hour weekend adder and a $1.00 per hour night shift adder.

As an Industrial Electrician, your responsibilities include:

1. Identifying safety, environmental, quality, and production issues and coordinating activities with production teams to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
2. Proactively resolving machine issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to site policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure associate safety by identifying issues and addressing concerns proactively.
• Participate actively in safety, training, and preshift meetings.
• Communicate effectively across shifts and with production teams.
• Manage preventive electrical systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Use troubleshooting methods to meet uptime, production, and quality goals.
• Perform electrical repairs safely and efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspections and coordinate repairs.
• Input work requests into the computer system, communicate with planning and operations teams.
• Ensure timely and quality electrical work with proper documentation in CMMS.
• Handle applicable permits such as hot work, red tag, and cross connection.
• Understand factors affecting machine reliability and quality, and implement improvements.
• Analyze equipment failures to prevent recurrence, collaborating with craft and operating staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of industrial electrical experience OR equivalent education and/or experience
• Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance
• Ability to identify root causes and initiate corrective actions
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and CMMS (e.g., SAP) is a plus
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, dusty, noisy conditions, and wear safety equipment
• Physical ability to lift 2-20 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand or walk for long periods
