Salary

  • $39.74/hr starting wage
  • Increased to $40.44 after 60-day probationary period
  • 2-Year contractual technical assessment allows potential $3.00 /hr increase upon successful testing
  • Contractual Full Utilization allows maintenance technicians to sign up and work all weekend and holiday overtime, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Shift

  • Days: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Afternoon/Evenings: 4:00pm - 12:00am
  • Overnights: 12:00am - 8:00am

Job Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes
  • Maintain the power distribution of plant equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment using precision measurement tools
  • Interpret schematics and equipment manuals
  • Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time
  • Utilize SAP to document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance; including parts searches, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points
  • Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve production and maintenance KPIs
  • Drive brewery goals and objectives through independently led projects and continuous improvement activities

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of industrial electrical/programming experience or two-year technical degree preferred
  • PLC experience preferred; Allen Bradley PLC5, ControlLogix, and Siemens programming and troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives, servo motors, and motor control systems up to 480 volts required
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g., Six Sigma analysis) and implement remedies
  • Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot and re-wire high-speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred
  • Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.) preferred
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred (valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes)
