Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Marine Electrician with a strong background in electrical systems, ideally within the marine or yacht industry. This role is ideal for candidates with a consistent job history and 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience. While yacht-specific experience is preferred, we welcome applicants with marine, industrial, or commercial electrical expertise who can adapt to a high-end, custom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain marine electrical systems, including AC/DC power, navigation equipment, lighting, bonding systems, and battery banks
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete new builds, retrofits, and repairs on custom yachts and other marine vessels
- Ensure compliance with ABYC standards, safety protocols, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other skilled trades to deliver seamless electrical integrations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician, with preference given to marine or yacht-related projects
- Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, equipment, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and schematics
- Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and craftsmanship
- ABYC certification or similar credentials a plus (not required)
