Join Our Dynamic Team as an Experienced Electrician!
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will be empowered to construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations as you work on exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment such as switch boxes, plug sockets, light bulbs, extension cords, and light fuses.
- Cut, bend, couple, and strap conduit; cut wire and conduit to precise lengths.
- Disassemble and prepare motors, generators, and other equipment for repair.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspecting circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding while testing for safety and efficiency.
- Utilize blueprints, drawings, layouts, and schematics to guide installations and repairs.
- Effectively operate electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring devices.
- Work with high-voltage equipment, including large Power Distribution Units (PDUs), DC rectifiers, and raised flooring systems.
- Lead small construction projects from inception to completion, including material estimation and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Skilled in all facets of electrical work, including high-lift operations.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of EHS best practices in electrical work environments.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Capability to climb and work from ladders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a Master or Journeyman Electrical License.
- Ability to interpret and execute work based on detailed blueprints, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.
- Experience in generating material lists and managing project resources.
- Proven track record of independently leading construction/electrical projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with demonstrated multitasking abilities.
- Experience with fiber optic testing and termination.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Background in public sector or federally funded projects is advantageous.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
