Position Summary:
The graphic designer is responsible for producing visual solutions to communicate the needs of clients using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness.
Daily/Position Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Produce promotional displays for the on and off premise accounts including the following:
- Menus – table tents, wine lists, drink lists, inserts and features
- Sell sheets
- Signs, including posters and banners
- Shelf talker’s/case cards
- Tear pads
- Tasting sheets
- Print and In-Store Ads
- Order and maintain the supplies for the department.
- Production skills such as foam board mounting, laminating and cutting.
- Organize bill backs for printable items for the accounting department.
- Provide support for the sales department concerning special requests.
- Design customized POS for the sales department.
- Log jobs accurately for billing.
- Other duties as assigned by the Merchandising Manager.
- BFA or BA in Graphic Design
- 1-2 years’ experience Desktop Publishing
- Previous experience in the wine and spirits industry a plus
Strong computer design experience required using MAC and PC platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines, as well as being able to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization, including outside vendors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Adobe Acrobat CS –Cloud/CS6, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Quark Xpress Print production and pre-flight experience.
