Position Summary:
Are you a strategic HR leader who thrives on making a tangible impact? At Ohio Logistics we’re looking for an experienced and driven HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team. This is a key leadership role that partners closely with the Director of HR to shape, lead, and execute people strategies that align with our business goals.
In this role, you’ll oversee critical functions including payroll and benefits administration, recruitment, HR projects, and process improvement —all while driving a culture of excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. You’ll also lead a talented team and act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
🌟 Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with the Director of HR and leadership teams to develop and implement impactful HR strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Lead high-priority HR projects from planning to execution, including scheduling, coordinating resources, and managing communications.
🖥️ HRIS Management
- Serve as the organization’s HRIS super user , optimizing systems to streamline HR operations and improve data integrity.
- Lead system upgrades, testing, and user training.
- Conduct audits and generate reports to support data-driven HR decisions.
👥 Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across payroll & benefits, recruitment, and HR project management .
- Set goals, provide ongoing coaching, and drive accountability for results.
🎯 Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure a smooth, inclusive, and efficient hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers.
💰 Payroll & Benefits Oversight
- Manage payroll and benefits operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
- Evaluate and enhance benefit offerings to remain competitive and cost-effective.
🔄 HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead key HR initiatives that improve processes, systems, and employee experience.
- Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
📚 Training & Leadership Development
- Develop and coordinate employee training programs and onboarding processes.
- Design and support leadership development efforts to build future leaders.
⚖️ Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and internal policies.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with fairness and discretion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or SHRM.
- 5+ years HR experience, including leadership or business partner responsibilities.
- Proven experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Agile, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
