Job Summary
The VP of Human Resources will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the organization’s goals and foster a positive workplace culture. The VP of HR will work closely with executive leadership to drive talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Provide leadership and direction to the HR team.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies. Implement programs for recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Conduct regular employee surveys and use data-driven insights to drive improvements.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure that these programs support the attraction and retention of top talent.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Implement programs that promote cultural competency and diversity at all levels of the organization.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a safe and respectful workplace.
- Organizational Development: Lead organizational development initiatives, including change management, leadership development, and employee training programs. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- HR Technology: Leverage HR technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
- Performance Management: Lead the development and execution of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Ensure alignment between individual performance and organizational objectives.
- Budget Management: Manage the HR budget effectively. Allocate resources to maximize the impact of HR initiatives and programs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement People Experience Programs: Bring innovation and excitement to employee experiences by designing and implementing programs that foster engagement, satisfaction, and vibrant work culture
- Stay up to date with HR technology trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions to enhance HR operations
- Employee Leadership Development: Cultivate a culture of leadership excellence by designing and implementing programs that nurture and develop employee talent
- Provide coaching and mentorship to managers, empowering them to build high-performing teams and drive exceptional results
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise the director role and managers within the human resources team.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Certification: Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar are highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and industry trends.
- People Experience Expertise: Proven success in developing and implementing people experience programs that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrate resilience and an ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
