Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in delivering people-focused HR services in a dynamic, fast-paced nonprofit environment. This position provides hands-on support across a broad range of human resources functions, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR reporting. The ideal candidate is experienced with Paycom payroll systems, knowledgeable in recruitment and benefits administration, and has a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures. This role requires managing multiple priorities with accuracy, integrity, and a service-driven mindset.

Successful candidates must have:

Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
35 years of Human Resources support experience, including payroll responsibilities.
Experience with all aspects of human resources processes include recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.
HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paycom, ADP, UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and payroll regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong listening abilities.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
