The City of Wyoming is seeking innovative, critical thinkers for a Human Resources Specialist position. The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to build relationships with staff throughout the City and an understanding of city operations by providing general and specific human resources support to City departments and employees.
The Human Resources Specialist coordinates programs and associated documents related to hiring and employment, family medical leave, workers compensation, tuition reimbursement, and insurance or retirement. Working cooperatively with departments and the human resources team, the Human Resources Specialist will draft and review job descriptions, conduct and complete wage and benefit surveys, assist with contract interpretation, and work on human resources-related projects. This position is responsible for compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining confidential and accurate personnel files, and compiling and analyzing data.
Candidates must have a bachelors degree in human resources, communication, public administration, business administration, or similar. Knowledge of and experience in a professional office setting is required. Candidates must have strong interpersonal communication, writing, and listening skills.
Salary for the position is$58,000 - $66,144, depending on qualifications and experience. A generous employee benefits package includes:
