Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Location: PRMA San Antonio (with occasional travel to satellite offices)
PRMA is looking for a seasoned Human Resource Manager to lead and elevate the HR function across our organization. This strategic role involves overseeing all core HR functions including talent acquisition, compliance, employee engagement, and policy development. The HR Manager acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and department managers, shaping HR strategy to align with the company's goals and fostering a culture of performance, inclusion, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts in collaboration with department managers.
· Drive employee relations strategies and provide guidance on performance and disciplinary matters.
· Ensure consistent enforcement of policies and compliance with labor laws at federal, state, and local levels.
· Serve as PRMA’s Compliance Officer and oversee adherence to regulatory training and credentialing standards.
· Manage benefits administration, reconciliations, and employee communications.
· Oversee leave management (FMLA, LOA), timekeeping systems, and HR budgeting.
· Maintain and update job descriptions, employee handbook, and protocols.
· Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and organizational development.
· Collaborate with credentialing staff and ensure up-to-date provider documentation.
· Serve as a key contact for external HR-related vendors and consultants.
· Represent PRMA in community outreach events and HR-related conferences.
· Advanced communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to HR planning and problem-solving.
· Proven ability to influence and build trust with all levels of staff.
· Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR technology, and organizational development.
· Experience managing HR systems, budgeting, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
· SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated success in implementing HR best practices in a healthcare or multi-site organization a plus.
