As the Human Resources Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our employees and ensuring smooth HR operations across Centerline Business Services. The Human Resources Associate will focus on providing exceptional internal customer support, managing HR processes, and coordinating the effective resolution of HR-related inquiries through our ticketing system.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a collaborative mindset, a strong drive for excellence, and a genuine interest in supporting employees and enhancing HR processes. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic HR team, streamline HR processes, and provide impactful employee support

*This position is an in-office role. Candidates will work in either our Memphis, TN, or Columbus, OH, office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve HR-related inquiries through the HR ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employees’ needs.
  • Administer various HR plans and procedures; contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Answers routine payroll and benefits questions
  • Provides support to benefits team (reconciles invoices, completes paperwork, etc).
  • Manage and maintain HR records, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including coordinating meetings, creating materials, and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Provide payroll-related updates, including new hire details, promotions, salary adjustments, terminations, and other personnel changes.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate benefits documentation and support benefits education, including open enrollment coordination.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, training requirements, and HR best practices across all teams.
  • May organize training sessions including scheduling, preparing materials, and managing vendor communications.
  • Maintain and improve HR processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Works in conjunction with HR Director to provide associate relations support to employees
  • Perform other HR duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Partner with HR leaders to draft and update job descriptions for assigned client groups
  • Provides systems management and updates for all HRIS systems

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on operational support and employee coordination.
  • Previous experience with HRIS platforms and ticketing systems to manage employee inquiries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in a multi-state environment.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Skilled at working in ambiguity, with a proactive approach to asking questions and tenaciously finding answers and solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
