At the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC), our people are the cornerstone of our success. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and people-focused Human Resources Analyst to join our professional team and support efforts to recruit top-quality talent.
About This Role
As an HR Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the entire employee lifecycle, from application through onboarding. Your primary focus will be assisting with talent acquisition and onboarding processes while managing key administrative and operational aspects of recruitment. This position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and a commitment to providing a seamless and positive experience for candidates and new hires.
Key Responsibilities
(These responsibilities are representative and may include other duties as assigned.)
- Process incoming job applications and maintain accurate applicant records
- Schedule and conduct candidate interviews
- Collect and manage required hiring documentation
- Verify previous employment and check candidate references
- Conduct background checks to ensure hiring compliance
- Assist with new hire orientation to welcome employees and introduce agency policies
- Provide education on agency incentives, offerings, policies, and expectations
- Support onboarding activities to facilitate smooth integration into the agency
- Respond to inquiries and support requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Provide HR-specific support tailored to department needs
- Perform other related duties as required
- Knowledge of human resources practices and principles
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with applicants and team members
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in recordkeeping and documentation
- Comfortable using computers and HR-related software applications
3 or more years of experience in HR, recruiting or similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems such as Mobius and Neogov.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Education, Training And Experience Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.
Schedule Requirements
Typical schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (37.5 hrs./wk.).
Hiring Range
$65,910.00 to $92,907.75 Annually (Minimum to Midpoint)
- Starting salary beyond minimum is based on verified related work experience. Typical hiring range is between minimum and midpoint. Please submit a copy of a current resume with application***
Special Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a criminal history background investigation to include fingerprint and driving record check.
- Must pass a polygraph examination.
- Must pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. May also require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met
