Position Summary
Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Friskies, and Kit N Kaboodle.
As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll act as a key business partner to several teams, ensuring excellence in human resources support and employee relations. Bring your proactivity to our dynamic manufacturing facility as you assist in implementing and delivering policies and programs relative to employment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and beyond.
- Manage the recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions, including conducting interviews and building relationships with local colleges and the community.
- Provide guidance and support on performance development, employee relations, policy interpretation, and investigations.
- Lead and conduct investigations, ensuring fair and consistent application of rules and policies.
- Support employee programs, including hiring events, company events, charitable contributions, and service award programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and lead audit reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- 3+ years in a professional Human Resources role
