Job Title: Human Resources Director

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is a 42-bed, acute adult/geriatric psychiatric facility located in Monroe, Louisiana. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to oversee our HR functions.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate personnel matters within the facility, including accurate daily time and attendance processing for all employees.
2. Identify training needs and refer employees to appropriate resources for training and retraining.
3. Develop and implement performance improvement plans for employees who do not adhere to organizational policies and processes.
4. Ensure all HR duties comply with facility policies, federal and state regulations, and PI standards.
5. Utilize effective communication skills and cultural awareness related to age/disability diversity.
6. Oversee staffing, staff relations, orientation, development, compensation, and benefits.
7. Serve as a resource for the HR department, developing practices and procedures that support facility growth.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources.
• Experience as an HR Manager in a hospital setting is preferred; 3-5 years as an HR Generalist in healthcare is acceptable.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local HR regulations, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and Affirmative Action.
• Effective verbal and organizational communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with PC computers.
• Basic understanding of medical and psychiatric diagnoses and conditions.
