The Human Resources Manager is the primary internal point of contact for operational leaders and functions as a collaborative HR partner to operational leadership. The position supports organizational goals and helps drive business strategy.
Base pay range
$95,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
- Develops strategic relationships with operational leadership to serve as a valuable partner within the organization.
- Understands business needs and supports leaders in achieving their goals and KPIs.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Investigates employee concerns in a non-biased, fair manner and provides recommendations to leadership while maintaining a culture of respect.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Partners with HR leadership and legal to institute best practices ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Coaches and supports managers on performance management including goal setting, performance check-ins, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
- Supports stakeholders to ensure the best candidate is selected, helping to reduce turnover and supporting succession planning and internal talent assessment.
- Assesses training needs and supports development of tools to increase employee skills; acts as a liaison between operations, safety, and the training team to work toward a goal of zero harm.
- Reviews HR processes and policies for improvements; plans, obtains approvals, and executes improvements.
- Implements employee engagement initiatives to reduce workforce turnover.
- Partners with internal HR team members to ensure departmental alignment and independently manages ad hoc HR projects and day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
- At least five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
- Human resources experience with both union and non-union workforce, as well as multi-state HR support.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable law.
- Understanding of skills necessary to consult with operational leadership and empower their success.
- Experience managing full range of HR projects and initiatives while striving for results.
