Job Summary


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for administering the human resources programs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration of HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and annual performance reviews.
  • Manage onboarding of new employees, including IT setup, payroll setup, and policy review.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including HR metrics on compensation and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage labor disputes, including unemployment claims by former employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR trends and best practices.
  • Enter payroll modifications in Paychex, including time adjustments and PTO requests.
  • Provide reporting for FSA, pension, and 403(b).
  • Exercise independent judgment, detect issues, and raise questions related to payroll processes to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related experience (or Associate's Degree with relevant experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in an HR department, including payroll processing.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues, meet deadlines, and adapt to new technology.
  • High moral and ethical standards for handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Paychex preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

This is a part-time, year-round salaried position.
