Kdc/one is currently hiring for a dynamic Human Resources Manager at our Groveport, Ohio facility. As part of the kdc/one network, we are the leading best-in-class producer of beauty and personal care products! Our Groveport location is accessible with an easy commute located on RT. 33/Hamilton Rd.
General Information:
The Human Resources Manager partners with and provides guidance to the HR team and business leaders and supervises the day-to-day HR activities for the HR team for the assigned site(s); formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field of equivalent work experience required and a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in the HR field.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous management experience and 5 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- PHR certification strongly preferred.

This position is responsible for:
- Oversees the internal process and system applications including HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Absence and Leave Management, Worker’s Compensation, Employee Retention Engagement and Performance Management; manages, leads and develops the HR Generalist team including, overseeing their responsibilities, tasks, and projects, ensuring that the goals of the team are being met.
- Creates, develops, coordinates and conducts Human Resources related training programs, policies, procedures and programs (e.g., orientation, interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, retention, engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion, performance reviews, succession planning and compliance); monitors programs to ensure success and follows-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Interprets HR policies and ensures the HR and management teams consistently adhere to all policies as intended; provides recommendations for policy development and/or revisions to incorporate into the Employee Handbook or HR Policy Manual to existing policies.
- Assists in the development and administration of HR policies, practices, procedures and programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity, engagement and retention; provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action).
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; partners with management to conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations; recommends and initiates appropriate steps for resolution and takes steps to mitigate future recurrence.
- Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with HR team and business leaders to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Develops and administers exit interview process; identifies trends and works with Human Resources and management team to address voluntary turnover issues.
