About the Role:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department within the healthcare and social assistance industry, specifically focusing on home care settings. This position is responsible for managing and streamlining payroll administration, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining accurate employee records through HRIS systems. The coordinator facilitates new hire onboarding by processing paperwork and coordinating benefits administration, contributing to a positive employee experience. By leveraging expertise in healthcare recruiting, the role supports staffing needs critical to delivering quality care services. Ultimately, the Human Resources Coordinator ensures efficient HR operations that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration and HR coordination, preferably within healthcare or home care settings.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and benefits administration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
- Experience specifically in healthcare recruiting and home care industry HR practices.
- Certification such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional).
- Familiarity with additional payroll and HR software platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations matters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll functions using ADP Workforce and Ultipro systems to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and maintain comprehensive employee records within the HRIS database.
- Support healthcare recruiting efforts by screening candidates and facilitating the hiring process in a home care environment.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and assist in resolving employee relations issues.
