Overview
Target is seeking a Human Resources Expert to support store teams with talent and staffing needs, recruit and onboard talent, and help deliver guest‑centric service while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact, and tailor your approach
- Engage with guests to understand their specific needs through questions
- Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and reinforce that they chose Target
- Know store sales goals and trends with the guest and team to support business results
- Work with HR leadership to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business
- Execute recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire talent with the right skills
- Support training needs of the store’s sales force and advocate for continuous learning
- Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices
- Listen to team members and collaborate with leaders to take action as needed
- Deliver on all HR operational and cyclical programs
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work safely, identify hazards, and comply with safety policies
- All other duties based on business needs

Basic Requirements
- Accurately handle cash register operations
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance
