Overview

Target is seeking a Human Resources Expert to support store teams with talent and staffing needs, recruit and onboard talent, and help deliver guest‑centric service while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact, and tailor your approach
  • Engage with guests to understand their specific needs through questions
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • Thank guests and reinforce that they chose Target
  • Know store sales goals and trends with the guest and team to support business results
  • Work with HR leadership to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business
  • Execute recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire talent with the right skills
  • Support training needs of the store’s sales force and advocate for continuous learning
  • Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices
  • Listen to team members and collaborate with leaders to take action as needed
  • Deliver on all HR operational and cyclical programs
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely, identify hazards, and comply with safety policies
  • All other duties based on business needs

  • Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes

Basic Requirements

  • Accurately handle cash register operations
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance
