Overview

Position Overview: Are you passionate about fostering a positive and productive work environment in a fast-paced production environment? As a Human Resources Generalist, you\u2019ll play a pivotal role in our daily HR operations. Bring your expertise in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leadership development, and compliance to help us thrive. You\u2019ll be instrumental in creating a supportive and compliant workplace for both our hourly production employees and salaried staff located at the site. Your collaboration with our farm operations team will drive a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, continuous learning, high performance, and inclusion.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns with discretion and confidentiality
  • Employee Relations: Support positive employee relations by resolving workplace issues, coaching supervisors, and implementing engagement initiatives
  • Employee Relations: Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with TA specialist on recruitment for hourly production and salaried roles at the site
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage staffing partner relationship
  • Performance Management: Support managers in performance processes and provide guidance on goal-setting, coaching, and corrective action when necessary
  • Performance Management: Partner with managers to develop action plans for underperforming employees and support succession planning initiatives
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Manage employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with retention policies
  • Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollments, and changes, and liaise with the benefits manager as needed
  • Benefits Administration: Lead benefits orientations for new hires and assist with open enrollment processes
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and deliver training on HR-related topics, such as harassment prevention, safety, and company policies
  • Training & Development: Track completion of mandatory trainings to ensure compliance
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Participate in the planning and execution of HR projects, including employee engagement activities and policy rollouts
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics to support decision-making and improve HR practices

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve issues in a fair, consistent, and timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficiency with HRIS (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions

  • Office environment within a food production facility; requires regular interaction with site floor employees
  • Exposure to 38-degree temperatures in pack area
