Responsibilities
- Support HRIS and payroll functions, including new hire setup, compensation changes, deductions, and benefits updates.
- Administer benefits, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and vendor communications; assist with open enrollment and benefits communications.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws (EEO, VETS, FMLA, etc.) and internal policies.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employee questions related to policies, procedures, benefits, and payroll.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and data within UKG Ready or other HR systems.
- Administer and track the company’s FMLA program.
- Review benefit invoices; resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Conduct new hire onboarding, reference checks, and orientation.
- Posting job advertisements on various platforms and job boards.
- Screening incoming resumes and coordinating interview schedules.
- Managing candidate communications.
- Supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Participate in the Health & Wellness Committee and lead or support special HR projects as assigned.
- Ensure HR practices support a safe, inclusive, and productive workplace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of generalist experience in a similar work environment.
- Previous recruitment experience preferred, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding support.
- UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) system experience is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
