Overview

VERSANT Media is looking for a Manager, Human Resources responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership, direction, and expertise for the SportsNext organization. In collaboration with the Sr. Director, Human Resources, this person will provide day to day client support and strategic HR solutions for the SportsNext group. This role will partner closely with business leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee coaching, compensation strategies, succession planning, training & development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication.

What You'll Do

  • Drive key HR initiatives including but not limited to staffing, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication.
  • Partner/collaborate with the leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of business initiatives.
  • Develop and implement change management plans.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes.
  • Work with managers and talent acquisition to focus on recruitment and retention of internal and external talent.
  • Advocate and offer guidance and coaching to department leaders and employees, providing feedback and advice on organizational issues.
  • Work to resolve employee and organizational issues in a proactive and positive manner.
  • Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for strategic improvements.
  • Identify training needs, recommend solutions, facilitate learning and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study
  • 5+ years relevant HR experience including employee relations and organizational development
  • 2+ years in an HRBP Manager role
  • Proven HR leader with the ability to generate a vision and strategy to guide the organization through change, rethinking the way they look at decisions
  • Possess a natural ease working with and relating to employee needs in a fast-paced, ever-changing matrixed environment
  • Demonstrates ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles and be able to establish effective relationships at all levels, responding effectively and timely to demanding internal clients
  • Trusted business partner with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience supporting client groups through business reorganization and culture transformation
  • Must be willing to work in Orlando, FL
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting clients in the Entertainment/Sports Industry
  • Certified facilitator in learning and development programs (e.g., DISC, Working Genius, Emergenentics)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, NLRA, FLSA, Title VII) across multiple states
  • Proficient in Human Resources systems: SAP, SuccessFactors, Org Publisher, SmartRecruiters

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
