The Human Resources (HR) Generalist implements HR policies and programs supporting the full employment lifecycle of team members. The major areas of responsibility include employee relations, recruiting, payroll, onboarding, training, and other employee services.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform HR-related duties across broad functions such as employee relations, recruiting, payroll, performance management, and policy implementation.
  2. Partner with leadership to administer HR plans and procedures for all team members.
  3. Provide support and guidance on HR matters, including policies, benefits, payroll, and leaves, proactively promoting positive relations and addressing issues.
  4. Advise managers on employee relations and performance issues, including disciplinary actions, and monitor performance evaluations.
  5. Lead recruitment efforts for both exempt and non-exempt roles in line with workforce plans.
  6. Conduct investigations and make recommendations based on findings.
  7. Assist with HR policy development, updates to the company handbook, and communication processes.
  8. Maintain accurate department records and reports; generate analytics based on organizational needs.
  9. Conduct new-employee orientations and exit interviews.
  10. Support benefits administration, including enrollment and employee inquiries.
  11. Collaborate with Legal on immigration processes for team members.
  12. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. At least three years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  3. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations, especially California laws.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  6. Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  7. Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately.
  9. Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (preferably Oracle).
  11. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
