The Bear’s Cup Cafe will prepare coffee, tea, smoothies, wraps, pastries, and casual beverages and beer. Baristas are responsible for preparing all coffee and espresso beverages, food menu, and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, cash-handling, cleaning, and some prep-work. Experience in a coffee environment is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old. Starting pay is $15 per hour plus tips. Work shifts are about 8-10 hours for a 20-24 hour work week. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 7am until 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all coffee and espresso beverages and food menu.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform opening/closing duties, cash-handling, cleaning, and some prep-work

Qualifications

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while anticipating customer needs and handling multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, understand recipes, and accurately measure ingredients.
• Capacity to remain on your feet and move quickly throughout the duration of each shift in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Physical Requirements

• Talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language;
• Endure long periods of standing or walking;
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance;
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle or feel;
• Meet highest standards of personal grooming; and
• Drive vehicle for performance of job duties.
