Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to eight retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

When customers visit Fresh Baguette, you"ll put your own passions to work to help bring their ideas of French products to life. You might help one customer choose something for lunch, show another how to pair baguettes with their meal, or even save the day with an amazing pastry. If you have a talent for hands-on problem-solving, you can have address customers" needs to connect them with Fresh Baguette experiences they love. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Baristas to join our Fresh Baguette Terrell Place bakery cafe (575 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20004) and Fresh Baguette Lafayette Square bakery cafe (1440 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005). This full-time, hourly position is perfect for someone with a passion for coffee, baked goods, and creating memorable customer experiences. What You"ll Do

• Provide friendly and prompt customer service with a warm and inviting presence.
• Become an expert on Fresh Baguette's menu offerings and communicate product details effectively to customers.
• Follow recipes according to standard and prepare high-quality coffee, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items with care.
• Handle cash and credit transactions at the register in a fun, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Serve a variety of baked goods, breads, and pastries to enhance the customer's experience.
• Maintain store safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices at all times.
• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
• Pay close attention to the display of products throughout the day, ensuring they are visually appealing.
• Keep the store clean and well-prepped, including execution of closing tasks and preparation for the next day.

Shifts

• Our shifts typically start as early as 6am and end as late as 7pm, 7 days per week.
• Morning shifts: 6:00AM-1PM
• Afternoon shifts: 1:00PM-7PM
• 6-8 hour shift
• Days a week including Saturday and Sunday
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have open availability.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
• A passion for coffee, baked goods, and creating positive customer experiences.
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, people-oriented demeanor.

• Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching of 50lbs.
