The associate ensures total operation and service that meets standards, providing customers with prompt service, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation per Price Chopper standards through supervision of Baristas. Assists the Food Service Manager with daily operating procedures, including quality Price Chopper operations, financials, and training of Barista associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Consistently provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
  2. Determines customer needs and makes suggestions with appropriate products.
  3. Samples and suggests selling opportunities.
  4. Ends each customer transaction with a “Thank You”.
  5. Assists the Food Service Manager in hiring new associates.
  6. Coaches and trains new associates to Barista Certification.
  7. Ensures store and Price Chopper policies and procedures are followed by self and certified Barista associates.
  8. Follows all health, safety, and food safety guidelines for all products.
  9. Assists customers in product selection.
  10. Maintains customer service area, including equipment, in a clean and appealing manner.
  11. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
  12. Demonstrates a “just say yes” attitude when taking care of customers.
  13. Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders to Price Chopper standards.
  14. Performs all cleaning tasks as scheduled and according to standards.
  15. Follows merchandising standards, stocking, and rotation policies.
  16. Ensures equipment maintenance follows procedures and schedules.
  17. Handles cash and performs register policies and procedures accurately.
  18. Follows inventory control policies.
  19. Manages product and supply orders to meet business needs.
  20. Maintains accurate recordkeeping per Price Chopper procedures.
  21. Completes initial store training and passes Barista certification with at least 90% score.
  22. Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to company policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 16 years old. Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic literacy and computer skills. Strong communication skills.
