Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a Barista who contributes to our success by providing world-class service to our customers. Responsibilities include providing quality products, delivering efficient service, and maintaining a clean and organized store, all while displaying a courteous service attitude. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and the desire to embrace the Black Rifle Coffee culture.

Role Responsibilities

• Provides quality beverages, retail items, and food products with attention to detail; adheres to recipes, product quality, and health and safety standards.
• Keeps a clean, set up, and organized workstation; ensures equipment is operational and reports maintenance needs.

• Communicates with the team and management; assists in training new team members and fosters a positive team environment.
• Acts with radical transparency, integrity, and commitment to the company culture and mission.
• Adheres to operational policies and procedures including cash handling, safety, and health regulations.
• Celebrates team and individual achievements to reinforce store morale and culture.
• Maintains a customer-first attitude and remains calm under pressure.

Education and Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Previous barista or server experience desirable
• Willingness to learn new coffee techniques and equipment
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
• Excellent communication skills

Position Type / Hours / Physical Requirements

This is a part-time position that may require long hours including weekends and nights.

• Regularly stand, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, rotate, and reach as part of duties.
• Ability to work with mechanical/brewing equipment
• Close vision required for computer work or brewing equipment
• Light to moderate lifting
• Regular, predictable attendance; flexibility to meet business needs
• Ability to work in a confined area and sit/stand at a terminal for extended periods
