We’re looking for a Lead Barista who can bring skill, leadership, and love for coffee to the heart of our operation.
Position Overview
The Lead Barista will be a hands-on leader at the bar, setting the standard for coffee quality, service, and workflow. This role requires 3–4 years of specialty coffee experience, strong knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and brewing techniques, as well as the ability to train and inspire others.
You’ll work closely with the owner and management to ensure our coffee program runs at its best and will have the opportunity to grow into a Manager or Head of Coffee position.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare espresso-based drinks, pour overs, and other beverages to specialty standards.
Lead by example on the bar, ensuring speed, quality, and hospitality.
Train, mentor, and support baristas in coffee knowledge and brewing techniques.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace at all times.
Assist in recipe development and dialing in espresso daily.
Ensure equipment is maintained and cleaned according to schedule.
Communicate with management about workflow, staffing needs, and coffee quality.
