Business Analyst
The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, processing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making within the organization. The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to support upper management in the execution and sustainability of operational processes to improve overall company performance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Extract data from multiple system resources, interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports including pro forma guidance
- Perform in-depth analysis of structured and unstructured data using statistical techniques, data mining, and data visualization tools to identify trends, anomalies, and insights
- Develop and manage databases, data analytics, and other strategies to support and manage company-wide initiatives for both short and long-term goals
- Performs property analytics and reporting to upper management such as labor and staffing, various statistical reports, and ad hoc requests
- Knowledge of operational systems with the ability to extract data, summarize key findings, and provide analyses
- Evaluate current operational practices and recommend strategy to improve efficiencies while understanding dynamic business operations
- Observes activity and reports anything that is out of the ordinary
- Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of management personnel; effort is given to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships
- Ensures all guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions
- Utilizes open body language, politely speaks with and assists guests as needed
- Assists in maintaining a spotless facility by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles by guests
- Maintains paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Crosstrain in other areas of Analytics
