Job Title: Business Analyst (Energy Trading)
Location-Type: Hybrid in Houston - M-TH
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 12-month contract (potential for conversion)
Compensation Range: $38.28/hr – $55/hr
Job Description:
Support front, mid, and back-office business users within the Renewable Energy sector by managing ETRM system configurations and reporting enhancements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Partner with business users across trading and risk functions
Modify and update ETRM system configurations
Assist with reporting and data analysis requests
Collaborate with the tech team on system improvements and ecosystem expansion
Pull and interpret data using SQL
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in energy trading or risk management
Deep understanding of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and experience updating them
Strong SQL skills
Proven ability to serve as a liaison and go-to person for business teams
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with strong academic performance
Nice-to-Haves:
Familiarity with ETRM platforms and renewable energy operations
