Position Summary:

The Business Analyst I will play a critical role in analyzing data and providing insights to drive operational and sales performance. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for solving problems, and an interest in the beverage distribution industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, streamline processes, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Reporting
   • Analyze sales, inventory, delivery, and payment data across systems.
   • Build dashboards and reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
   • Conduct gross margin analysis, factoring in freight, promotions, and rebates.
   • Serve as primary contact for reporting requests and system-related issues.
2. Administrative Support
   • Monitor and report on pricing discrepancies to ensure timely, accurate updates across all channels to maintain market competitiveness and profitability.
   • Prepare and distribute detailed product and pricing requests to chain customers.
   • Support communication between pricing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies.
3. Systems Integration & Data Management
   • Extract and integrate data from multiple platforms for reporting and analysis.
   • Support EDI processes with retail chains and key customers.
   • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting platforms.
4. Collaboration & Communication
   • Partner with sales, operations, finance, and IT teams to support cross-functional business needs.
   • Present clear, actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership and business teams.
   • Serve as a point of contact for ad hoc reporting requests and system-related inquiries.
5. Process Improvement
   • Identify and recommend ways to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
   • Help implement tools to streamline workflows.
   • Document standard procedures for data analysis and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience or training will be considered
• Experience: 1-2+ years in business or operational analytics preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros, formulas, charts).
  • Experience building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar a plus).
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages is a plus.
• System Knowledge (Preferred but not required): Encompass, VIP, SAP, EDI platforms, and ShareFile.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in beverage distribution or consumer goods is a plus.
