We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support business process design and system delivery for Virginia Tax. The successful candidate will work closely with business, development, and testing teams to define complex system requirements, prepare functional documentation, and ensure high-quality solutions. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, financial client experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and clients to gather and document business and technology requirements.
• Prepare General System Design documents containing complex business rules and specifications.
• Interface with application development, business, and testing teams to define top-level system requirements.
• Lead process reviews to ensure full understanding of business requirements and proposed solutions.
• Analyze and document solutions to complex business problems while meeting deadlines.
• Prioritize tasks effectively based on multiple and conflicting business needs.
• Collect, interpret, and present data using SQL for data gathering, analysis, and research.
• Ensure design documentation is properly stored using version control tools (e.g., TFS).
• Provide effort estimates for assigned applications and support legislative requests.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to train functional analysts.
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Manage multiple projects of varying complexity, delivering on time under pressure.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, and other work management practices to assigned projects.

Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience:

• Prior Business Analyst Experience Required 3 Years.
• Excellent Problem Solving skills Required 3 Years.
• Develop Functional documentation, best practices, and troubleshooting guides for business solutions. Required 3 Year.
• Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Required 3 Years.
• Prior Tax experience Highly desired 3 Years.

Note: Financial client experience is a must. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.

Compensation:

W2 – $43/hr. (Full Time)

C2C – $54/hr. (Contract)
