Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst to support a data architecture modernization and migration initiative. This role will be instrumental in bridging business needs with technical solutions, ensuring that data workflows, requirements, and processes are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and workshops with end users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather and validate business and technical requirements
• Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable documentation (e.g., BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria)
• Visualize and document current and future state workflows, both business and technical, using tools such as Lucidchart, Confluence Whiteboard, or similar
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and developers to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, data flows, and system interactions
• Support data mapping, data lineage, and data quality initiatives as part of the migration process
• Assist in defining data governance and metadata management requirements
• Participate in testing activities, including test case development and defect triage
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies related to business analysis deliverables to the Project Manager
• Provide ongoing support and clarification to project teams throughout the project lifecycle as related to responsibilities above
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT/Data Science, or related field required; relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-centric or IT transformation projects
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
• Proficiency in visualizing workflows and processes using diagramming tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
• Experience working on data-related projects (e.g., data migration, data warehousing, etc.)
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the asset management or financial services industry
• Knowledge of data architecture concepts, including ETL, data modeling, and cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)
• Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools is a plus
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or Tableau
• Understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)
  
  

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $60 and $65. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.

All full time Codeworks employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Additionally, employees can participate in Codeworks’ 401(k) retirement plan.
