RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Business Analyst in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Spring, TX.

Overview:

The candidate should have unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. The Business Analyst contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

Duties Include:

  • Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful
  • Provides highly innovative solutions
  • Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives
  • May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees
  • Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives
  • Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction
  • Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function (TCP review board required in TCP families)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Typically, a Bachelor's or Master' degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Recommended: IIBA CBAP (or equivalent) certification obtained
  • Ideally, recognized industry certification
  • More than 10 years of experience

Experience with the following:

  • Requirements elicitation via interviewing, workshop facilitation, survey design and execution
  • Statistical analysis
  • Requirements determination using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/validation
  • Decomposition of high-level information into details
  • Abstracting low-level information
  • Distinguishing requests vs needs
  • Distinguishing requirements vs. solutions
  • Classifying/prioritizing requirements
  • OO techniques using UML models
  • Ambiguity analysis, ensuring consistent understanding across users, designers and testers
  • Business process modeling current/future state processes
  • Business rules modeling
  • Defining and managing scope and client expectations, requirements change management and traceability
  • Visualization modeling
  • Identifying and mitigating risks
  • Applying creativity/innovation to solving complex problems
  • Building relationships and working collaboratively
  • Developing and communicating a vision for project/system
  • Providing thought leadership
  • Mentoring
  • Effective verbal/written communication
  • Preparing and delivering effective presentations
  • Experience in one or more industry domains
  • Developing structured user manuals and training
  • Develop and executing acceptance test plans
  • Specialized: Function Point counting

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
