Exposure to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) models will be a strong plus.
The BA will act as a bridge between Business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, documented, and translated into high-quality solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows in alignment with Agile best practices.
- Analyze existing banking processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews.
- Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis for new banking products, regulatory changes, or system implementations.
- Work on initiatives across commercial and retail banking.
- Support the definition and implementation of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) models, APIs, and embedded finance offerings.
- Assist in preparing business cases, regulatory compliance documentation, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and brainstorming sessions to align requirements and solution approaches.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery of solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) industry.
- Strong knowledge of the US banking ecosystem, including commercial and retail banking products, services, and processes.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, user story writing, and process modeling (e.g., BPMN, UML).
- Understanding of digital banking, core banking systems, APIs, and integration models.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the US banking sector (e.g., FDIC, OCC, CFPB, AML/KYC guidelines).
- Exposure to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), embedded finance, or open banking is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work on complex and cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across business and technology.
