Brief Description

Purpose:

Develop and manage the sales forecasting process, market research, and general sales and marketing support. Provide information and communication tools to be used throughout the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

• Forecasting and Business Analysis - prepare sales forecasts; collect and analyze data to evaluate current sales goals; familiar with a variety of the medical field concepts, practices, and procedures. Prepare reports on a consistent schedule for external formal reporting and internal customer profiles:
• Gather, consolidate and analyze data from all locations for use by Accounting Department to develop yearly budget.
• Update quarterly forecasts based on revisions using a 12 quarter system.
• Communicate monthly variances to financial partners.
• Complete ad hoc research requests as needed.
• Participate in developing, updating and overseeing major customer profiles – budget vs. actual sales, contacts by market segment, and individual customer strategies.
• Market Intelligence and Research - lead market research activities and disseminate information as needed for strategic marketing purposes. Collect and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential products or markets; familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field, such activities include but are not limited to:
• Product match – work with outside research firms to match independent forecast to customer supplied data by business unit; develop visual reference of surgical procedure and contact by product type.
• Market segment – gather and maintain market intelligence to include general trends, market share, players, threats and future programs. Update current markets as well as target markets and customers quarterly.
• Research – stay up to date on general macro-economic trends and forecasts used for reporting, budgeting and market development by reading reference materials (daily, weekly and quarterly); and attending seminars and trade shows.
• Marketing and Field Sales Support – work with others to execute the implementation of marketing and communication programs which effectively describe and promote the organization and its products and services such as:
• Provide direction to sales staff.
• Assist field sales team in customer relationship management activity: pipeline management, lead generation, follow-up, customer and account profiles, sales processes and customer management; and competitor profiles and intelligence.
• Lead and manage marketing support for advertising and various sales support products: presentations and promotional material.

• Expert level in data tools (including Excel, Power BI, SQL, R, etc)
• Ability to summarize and tell a story with the data

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area but preferably Finance or Accounting
• Proven experience in Financial and Marketing analysis
• Sales Training or equivalent experience
