Overview
Improvix Technologies is looking for a dynamic and innovative Business Analyst to support our government customer. This role works hand-in-hand with senior project managers, product owners, and key government stakeholders to understand functional and business process needs, capture requirements, and translate solutions into succinct user stories for technical resources. The BA also serves as Scrum Master for their team, helping teammates resolve impediments and risks, while staying on target within every sprint.
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in managing customer onboarding, intake and discovery, requirements gathering, customer communication, and documentation. This individual will work closely with developers, engineers, project managers, and federal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Regularly meeting with senior-level government officials that serve as Product Owners and/or key stakeholders to ongoing projectized efforts.
- Proactively seeking customer feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping translate the customers' functional business processes and needs to technical resources.
- Collaborating with SMEs to write and edit Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), User Guides, Procedures, SOPs, and related project materials.
- Capturing user stories, grooming, and recording stories within Jira.
- Assisting with demos, as necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction at the end of each sprint.
- Working with developers, engineers, and testers to ensure broad understanding of technical details and requirements within each user story.
- Evaluating project activities, processes, and procedures; proposing innovative approaches for improvement.
- Assisting the Project Manager with updating status reports, risk registries, Release Notes, and related project documentation.
- Researching, outlining, writing, and editing new and existing product content (e.g., OnDemand Training Guides, System Documentation, Tier I/II Troubleshooting Guides).
Ideal candidates will have
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with Jira
- Experience supporting Agile methodologies
- Certified Scrum Master
- 3-5 years' experience supporting Federal IT projects
- Experience with Palantir/Foundry preferred but not required
