Overview
Business Analyst role with a contract opportunity in the Columbus, OH area. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst with strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and SharePoint modernization. W2 Contract – not open to C2C or sponsorships.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define and document business requirements for IT and business initiatives, including ERP RFP processes.
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to support development and refinement sessions.
- Conduct process mapping and analysis to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams during discovery, prioritization, and estimation activities.
- Facilitate QA, UAT coordination, and CAB change management processes.
- Lead refinement sessions and support estimation model completion.
SharePoint Modernization Focus
- Inventory and categorize applications, data, sites, and subsites from on-prem SharePoint 2016 environments.
- Evaluate and disposition inventoried items to either:
- SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) or
- On-prem SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) based on compatibility and system requirements.
- Document processes and support migration planning.
- Act as a technical point of contact for SharePoint migration activities.
Top Skills Required
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, user story writing, and acceptance criteria documentation.
- Proven ability in process mapping and business process analysis.
- Familiarity with SharePoint environments, especially in the context of modernization or migration projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
