Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Newton, NC

Duration: 12+ Months

Working Schedule (days/times): Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm

The purpose of this job description is to provide a general overview of responsibilities associated with the position; however, the responsibilities listed are not all-inclusive.

Support position to plan, organize, and control Supply Chain operations (Planning/Scheduling, Procurement, Packaging/Warehousing, and Materials Controls) to optimize utilization of HCP's equipment, materials, and Client to deliver premium customer service.

This role involves participating in cross-functional projects within the plant and across Corning to enhance manufacturing efficiency, supply chain operations, and customer service.

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Use strong system skills, analytical abilities, and business knowledge to evaluate manufacturing and Supply Chain effectiveness, communicate conclusions, and lead improvement projects as needed. Develop reports and analyses for continuous improvement.
• Implement new systems and initiatives within the Supply Chain department.
• Support packaging and warehouse activities, including process improvements in shipping and receiving, optimizing storage, and improving packaging efficiencies.
• Create, modify, and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other groups.
• Perform work safely, maintain a safe environment, and proactively report unsafe conditions.
• Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize efficiency of functions and systems.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (minimum)

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects and daily responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal skills across all functions and levels
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access)
• Willingness to work 6AM-2PM (hours may vary)

Desired Skills

• 2-5 years experience in supply chain; degree or APICS certification preferred
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Performance Excellence; Green Belt preferred
• Understanding of Cable Products, Materials, and Manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of MES and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and in teams, adapt to change, demonstrate drive and commitment
