Business Analyst Job Description

  • Collaborate with Program Manager, stakeholders, and product owners to gather and define business and technical requirements related to software system design, new functionality, enhancements, and modifications for government websites and systems.
  • Prepare and distribute timely deliverables, including meeting summaries, weekly activity reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quarterly data usage reports, ensuring clear communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Serve as point person for answering Tier II and Tier III customer complaints from CCC.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the applications supporting.
  • Lead Scrum meetings and Agile initiatives to improve team alignment, reinforce Agile principles, and foster collaboration.
  • Maintain JIRA Projects and SPRINTs.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure clear communication and implementation of requirements.
  • Test changes to applications and functionality, supporting application testing during production releases.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation reflecting system updates, including Functional and Technical Specifications, Release Notes, Requirement Traceability Matrices, and User Guides.
  • Develop business and use cases to support documentation and facilitate UAT.
  • Support review and documentation of long-term initiatives and strategic objectives aligned with contractual deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or a minimum of three years of Business Analyst experience.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, documenting distributed software applications, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience working in large enterprise software development organizations.
  • Proficiency in writing formal business rules, modeling use cases, and creating UML diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Proficient with MS Suite, MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Project, and JIRA.
  • Preferred: Scrum Master certification and experience with federal contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to pass an extensive background check.
  • Preferred Clearance: DoD public trust or interim secret clearance or higher.
