Job Title: Business Process Analyst

Department: IT

Reports to: Greg Hollingsworth

Job: Full-time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Swift

Summary

The Business Process Analyst plays a key role in defining, documenting, and maintaining operational workflows to support consistent, efficient business practices across all company facilities. This role is responsible for capturing current business processes, creating and managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and aligning processes across departments. The analyst collaborates cross-functionally to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance in all process documentation and supports organizational initiatives to standardize and improve operational efficiency.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Document existing business processes through interviews, observations, and data gathering.
  • Identify process variations and support efforts to align and standardize practices across facilities.
  • Create and maintain SOPs and process flows using approved documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Manage version control and revision history for all documentation, ensuring timely updates and stakeholder validation.
  • Support communication and change management activities related to process updates.
  • Maintain a centralized documentation repository, ensuring accessibility and audit readiness.
  • Ensure documentation meets quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to verify process documentation accuracy and completeness.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Technical Writing, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in process documentation, business process analysis, or technical writing.
  • Proficiency with process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence) preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory environments (e.g., GMP, SQF) considered an asset.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend and stoop for filing and document storage.
  • Ability to operate office machines (phones, copiers, computers).
  • Light physical lifting (10-30lbs).

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment with occasional visits to operational areas for process observation.
