Office located in Downtown Houston.
You will be a key influencer to our client's Enterprise Data & Analytics team, driving ideation through to delivery and implementation of solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure decisions are fact-based, define the vision, empathize with the customer, prioritize customer value, and groom the backlog for development.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand objectives and transform them into scoped business changes, including defining MVP.
- Establish a requirements management strategy covering elicitation, documentation, tools, meetings, backlog grooming, review & approval, change, and communication processes.
- Elicit and document business requirements as vision statements, process models, objectives, goals, and success criteria.
- Elicit functional and non-functional requirements, documenting epics, stories, wireframes, rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Build, organize, prioritize, and maintain the project backlog, supporting the Business Lead/Product Owner.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, supporting scope and priority decisions for releases and sprints.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Users, and Technical Team to write and elaborate user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Review and analyze new stakeholder requests, updating the backlog accordingly.
- Maintain an understanding of how project parts fit together to deliver solutions.
- Perform functional testing during sprints and review testing issues.
- Write UAT scripts and facilitate user acceptance testing.
- Analyze data to inform decisions and track KPIs for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
- 2-3 years’ experience supporting Agile/Scrum.
- Experience with Agile tools like ADO, Jira is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse groups.
- Proficient in business analysis techniques including data modeling, process flows, requirements documentation, and backlog management.
- Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus.
- IIBA or CBAP certification is a plus.
