Business Systems Analyst
Hybrid: 3 days per week in office - Fairfield County, CT
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + 10% annual bonus

Our prestigious client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support their finance systems team. This role is responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and automation of financial tools and reporting systems, while providing technical support to end-users across the organization.

Job Description:

Maintain and support core financial systems, including general ledger and budgeting tools.

Configure and manage financial system components (e.g., accounts, cost/profit centers, users, dimensions).

Support periodic updates for financial reporting software.

Develop enhancements and automation solutions for finance processes (e.g., robotic scripts, technical validations).

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to financial reporting and data integrity.

Perform global currency translation and revaluation processes.

Maintain FX reference data and support financial statement carryforward activities.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of data transfers between systems.

Collaborate across IT and Accounting on system upgrades and strategic initiatives.

Assist with automation and monitoring of internal financial controls.

Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry preferred.

Basic knowledge of SQL and VBA (macros).

Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Access.

Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP and similar platforms strongly preferred).

Familiarity with ledger-based reporting, general accounting principles, and financial system integrations.

Excellent communication and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and in team settings with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
