Overview

Estrada consulting, Inc is looking for a Senior Business Solution Analyst with DOJ experience.

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications

• MQ 1 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A bachelor’s degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. If no degree, demonstrate a total of nine (9) years of experience to meet MQ #2. A recognized college or university is defined as an institution of higher learning approved by the Office of Higher Education of any given state or a foreign college or university of comparable standing.
• MQ 2 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in business systems analysis and design.
• MQ 3 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the past seven (7) years, serving as a Business Solution Analyst on complex application development projects and experience facilitating JAD workshops with Subject Matter Experts and gathering and documenting requirements.
• MQ 4 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the past seven (7) years, ensuring business needs are met by complex applications. This includes developing a requirements traceability matrix and related documentation.
• MQ 5 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the past five (5) years, working on projects that followed the System Development Life Cycle process including iterative and agile methodologies.
• MQ 6 Minimum Qualification (Pass/Fail): A minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the past five (5) years, providing mentorship, knowledge transfer, and training to staff taking over Business Solution Analyst activities.

Highly Desired Qualifications - Scored

• DQ 1 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Master’s degree or doctorate from a recognized college or university.
• DQ 2 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Six (6) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects, with at least four (4) years in business systems analysis and design.
• DQ 3 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Six (6) years of experience, within the past seven (7) years, serving as a Business Solution Analyst on complex application development projects and experience facilitating JAD workshops and documenting requirements.
• DQ 4 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Six (6) years of experience, within the past seven (7) years, ensuring business needs are met by complex applications, including developing requirements traceability matrices and related design and data documentation.
• DQ 5 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Four (4) years of experience, within the past five (5) years, working on projects following the SDLC with iterative and agile methodologies.
• DQ 6 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Four (4) years of experience, within the past five (5) years, providing mentorship and training for Business Solution Analyst activities.
• DQ 7 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Three (3) years of experience, within the past four (4) years, using JIRA, R4J, X-Ray, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, SVN.
• DQ 8 Desirable Qualification (Scored): Two (2) years of experience with the California DOJ’s Bureau of Firearms or similar systems.
