The Business Analyst (BA) position at the client works on multiple projects that support the mission of the agency of improving outcomes for state students, with a focus on the early childhood integrated data system project.

Responsibilities:

• This position performs advanced, senior-level business analysis work as well as user experience design work to ensure a positive and productive end user experience.
• The position will ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and research and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices and will partner with the product team and other key stakeholders on design solutions.
• The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.
• This BA will be involved at some level throughout the entire software development life cycle.
• Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements, including requirements for enhancements post-implementation.

Required/Desired Skills:

• 8 Years Required Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
• 8 Years Required Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
• 8 Years Required Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
• 8 Years Required Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
• 8 Years Required Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
• 5 Years Required Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
• 5 Years Required Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
• 3 Years Preferred Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
• 3 Years Preferred Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
• 2 Years Preferred Documented experience working for or closely with client or another state or local education agency
• 1 Years Preferred Documented work experience with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program
