Job Location: Powell, OH
Position Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Certified Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children, stays calm under pressure, and works efficiently while maintaining a cheerful attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pediatric dentist chairside during a wide range of procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel at ease
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment
- Chart dental findings accurately in patient records
- Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene and aftercare instructions
- Help manage supply inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and ready
- Comfort children using age-appropriate language and behavior guidance
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols
- Assisting the dentist at Nationwide Children's Hospital with general anesthesia dental restorations.
- Dental Assistant Certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- X-ray certification (if applicable)
- CPR certified
- Nitrous oxide monitoring
- Coronal polishing
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in pediatric dentistry highly preferred
- Positive, calm demeanor – especially with children and anxious parents
- Willingness to be a team player and support all aspects of the office
